While I’m all for higher education, I believe it is 1) the job of the parents to decide this matter with their children and 2) dangerous to have the government tell you what your children must do. Stay out of our lives!

From NY Post: New Mexico’s high school juniors would have to apply to at least one college or commit to other post-high school plans as part of a proposed graduation requirement that would be the first statewide push of its kind in the US.

The proposal is scheduled for its first legislative hearing on Thursday. If it eventually becomes law, New Mexico would be the first state to require post-high school plans of students, said Jennifer Zinth, who is the director of high school and STEM research at the Education Commission of the States, a Denver-based group that tracks education policy.

The Supreme Court on Friday dismissed a petition seeking to declare the offences of rape, sexual assault, outraging of modesty, voyeurism and stalking in the Indian Penal Code as gender-neutral, saying they were meant to protect women and only Parliament can change the law.

Republican memo alleges Justice Dept, FBI abuse of power

Peace and Freedom

WASHINGTON (AFP) – Republican legislators released Friday a highly contentious memo alleging that the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Department of Justice abused their powers to spy on President Donald Trump’s election campaign.

– Key findings –

Based on classified materials, the four-page memo claims that the FBI and DOJ in 2016 used an unsubstantiated, Democratic-funded research report to obtain a FISA national security warrant to surveil Trump advisor Carter Page, who had extensive Russian contacts.

Several former and current top FBI and DOJ officials, it said, signed off on the FISA application and three renewals, in what the memo’s authors says amounted to accepting an unacceptably weak basis for a warrant.

The findings of the report “raise concerns with the legitimacy and legality of certain DOJ and FBI interactions” with the court that issued the warrant, said the memo, produced by the Republican leadership of the House Intelligence Committee.

Nick Shell’s Simple Self-Help System in 5 Steps: Emotions, Food, Money, Time, and Creativity All Work Together for Your Failure or Your Success

Family Friendly Daddy Blog

Earlier this morning, I invented a concept that I feel is so relevant, it must be should shared with the free world immediately. However, I predict it will be either widely ignored or passionately panned by critics.

It’s this simple: In order to be in charge of your own life, and therefore your own success, you have to be in conscious control of 5 main aspects: Your emotions, your food, your money, your time, and your creativity.

If you don’t learn to directly take control of these things, they will take control of you instead.

I submit to you that each of these 5 parts of your life is undeniably intertwined. I theorize that if you’re not good at managing your diet, there’s a higher likelihood you’re not good at managing your finances. If you’re not good at managing your time, you’re not good at managing your money. And so…

…………….Cultural reform

The Pathway to Change: Evolving Defence Culture strategy was launched in March 2012, with an initial implementation period of five years. The cultural reform program included 175 key actions and recommendations and advice from seven reviews into aspects of Defence culture and other reform directions. All key actions and review recommendations were finalised as at December 2016.

Results from the Defence 2017 YourSay survey support the organisation’s commitment to cultural reform, with approximately two-thirds of respondents reporting that they, and their supervisors, were committed to Pathway to Change. In addition, over 80 per cent of respondents felt that their supervisor’s leadership and behaviour was in accordance with Defence values.

Although much has been done since 2012 to strengthen the best in Defence culture, workforce and survey data shows that there is more work to be done. The next evolution of cultural reform has…
