FLORENCE, Italy — Britain’s negotiations with the European Union could continue close to its scheduled March 2019 departure from the bloc, Prime Minister Theresa May said on Friday.

EU chief negotiator Michel Barnier has said the two sides need to come to an agreement by November next year in order to allow time for it to be ratified by parliaments.

“Of course we will leave at the end of March 2019 and negotiations will be continuing potentially up quite close to that time,” May said during a question-and-answer session following a speech in Florence setting out her Brexit plans.

What to Tell a Client When the Case Lacks Merit

When you’re hired to make an initial case evaluation, make sure you have an understanding with the client that, if you find that the case lacks merit, you won’t provide any further representation on it. A case may seem compelling to the client, but you may see a fatal flaw. Explaining this can be uncomfortable, but it’s critical that you do so in a termination letter that clearly states your position.

Liliane Bettencourt

”She was rarely seen in public since she left the board of the French company in 2012, but continued to make headlines after members of her team were charged with exploiting her as her mental health deteriorated.

Born in Paris, she was the only child of Louise Madelaine Berthe and Eugene Schueller, who founded L’Oreal. Her mother died when she was just five years old, leaving her to form a close bond with her father.

She joined the family business when she was just 15, before inheriting the empire when her father died in 1957.”
