August’s Newsletter from Weston’s MP

Dear Mr David Farmer ,

This month’s local employment figures just landed on my desk, and they look pretty good. Unemployment in Weston is still falling, and people are finding jobs faster here than almost anywhere else in the southwest.

What’s our secret? Well, Weston’s becoming known as a great place to start, grow and expand your business. People are seeing private and public investment being poured into Weston and jobs generally follow money.

Just this week I visited two new projects that will keep us moving forward. The new Creative Hub (the ‘Stable’) will cater for small, creative firms that want the energy and buzz which comes from working alongside like-minded people. And SW Foodworks will be a centre for food and drink entrepreneurs that will bring with it as many as 250 jobs.

Perhaps now would be a good time to plug my Jobs Fair, that will return to the newly refurbished Winter Gardens on Wednesday 27th September…. Find out more, here.

Best wishes,No automatic alt text available.
