Frustrated dad mows ‘dangerous’ overgrown grass in council park so his son can play football with pals

”Adam Edwards, 35, took his nine-year-old for a kickabout at Weelsby Woods, in Grimsby, to discover the grass was so untidy it was impossible to pass a ball on.

Determined for youngsters to be able to enjoy a run around in the sun, Adam decided to head back home to collect his petrol lawnmower and mowed a small section of the park for them to play on, the Grimsby Telegraph reports.”

”Adam, who works as a chef, said it is the second time he has resorted to such drastic action and branded North East Lincolnshire Council’s decision to scale back its grass cutting operations as “upsetting”.”
