MET Man sought after rape in Shepherd’s Bush On 27 October 2016, the victim and her friend were approached by two men whilst shopping in Westfield in Shepherd’s Bush.

The men identified themselves as ‘Mohamed Saif’ and ‘Ahmed‘, although it is not known whether these were their real names.

After spending some time together, the group made their way to central London before returning to Shepherd’s Bush Green by bus.

The men attempted to make the women drink from a bottle of vodka, which they declined.

At approximately 03:45hrs the following morning, the women were split up by the men and ‘Ahmed’ forced the 17-year-old victim towards an entrance to West 12 Shopping Centre where he raped her.

Police seek would-be burglar at Gun Gallery and were called early on the morning of March 29 to the Gun Gallery after an alarm activated. Police found the glass front door broken.

The business was searched and it appeared that nothing was taken. Locked burglar bars on the front door prevented the would-be burglar from getting into the business.

Anyone with information about the identity or whereabouts of the accused burglar is asked to contact the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office at 904-630-0500 or email at

MET Update on arrests related to the Harlesden Road counter terrorism operation [B] Six remain detained, a further three have been released. ] a 21-year-old woman arrested on 30 April, having been discharged from hospital.

[C] a 20-year-old woman arrested on 27 April at the address in Harlesden Road;

[D] a 43-year-old woman arrested on 27 April in Kent;

[H] a 18-year-old woman arrested on 1 May at an address in east London;

[I] a 18-year-old woman arrested on 1 May at an address in east London;

[J] a 19-year-old woman arrested on 1 May at an address in east London.

All were arrested on suspicion of the commission, preparation or instigation of terrorist acts and detained under section 41 of the Terrorism Act 2000.

Canada: Canada welcomes Jamaica’s agreement to international child abduction convention

KINGSTON, Jamaica — The High Commission of Canada has welcomed Jamaica’s joining of the 1980 Hague Child Abduction Convention.

The Convention came into force today, the first day of Child Month.
The formally titled “Hague Convention of 25 October 1980 on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction” it is a multilateral treaty seeking to protect children under the age of 16 years from the harmful effects of their wrongful removal or retention.

According to a release from the Canadian High Commission, Jamaica deposited its instrument of accession and became the Convention’s 97th Contracting State on February 24, 2017.

The High Commission said Jamaica’s joining to the Convention is an important development in the global effort to address international parental child abduction.

It said Canada looks forward to the implementation of the Convention in Jamaica and stands ready to share its experience with the Government.

Wikipedia founder Jimmy Wales is launching a project aimed at reshaping the news media — and tackling the scourge of misinformation — using the same collaborative principles as the revolutionary online encyclopedia.

Wikitribune will rely on a broad online community of journalists and readers as fact checkers, a crowdsourcing model pioneered in the “wiki” system behind Wikipedia.

“The news is broken and we can fix it,” reads the website of the project unveiled by Mr Wales late Monday, describing itself as focused on “evidence-based journalism.”

On Twitter, Mr Wales called it “a news platform that brings journalists & volunteers together for fact-based articles with real impact.”

“Wikitribune takes professional, standards-based journalism and incorporates the radical idea from the world of Wiki that a community of volunteers can and will reliably protect and improve articles.”
