Fed-up dad stands up for access rights

New Fathers 4 Justice - Superhero Dads

A FRUSTRATED father is to protest inside courts, council buildings and outside law firm offices about allegedly unfair treatment of dads in disputes over access to children.

Chris Thompson claims English family law discriminates against fathers in favour of mothers, leaving many dads isolated. He has been in dispute with the courts over access to his children, who he says he last saw a year ago.

Mr Thompson (38) said his protest will take in law firms around Union Street and Queen Street, the magistrates’ court, Oldham Council and the county court near Oldham College on the morning of Monday, March 31. It will be a one-man protest but other men have promised their support, he said.

As well as supporting Fathers4Justice, Mr Thompson has launched his own Greater Manchester Parents Protesting group.
